Links to virtual meeting will be provided before the meeting.
Virtual Oral Presentations
If you have an accepted oral presentation and have registered for virtual participation, our broadcasting provider TV Worldwide has contacted you by e-mail to pre-record your presentation. During the scientific oral session at the meeting, all pre-recorded talks will be played following the in-person presentations, with a block of time reserved at the end of the recordings for discussion of the session’s virtual presentations. A link to the virtual meeting and instructions was provided on August 11, 2021. Please e-mail us if you have not received the link.
Virtual Poster Presentations
Please upload your e-poster in PDF format no later than August 10. Instructions can be found here. We have scheduled two virtual poster sessions (A and B) on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at 8:30 a.m. (CDT), one week before the meeting. Presenters will have 5-minute time slots to discuss their posters and answer any questions. The program is now online. Specific instructions and a link to the meeting was provided to all registered Metsoc 2021 participants by e-mail on August 8. This virtual poster session is open to all participants. If you have registered but have not received the e-mail, please notify us.
In-Person Oral Presentations
For those attending in person, oral presentations are allotted a total of 15 minutes (10 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for discussion). Use 16:9 widescreen Powerpoint or Keynote (latest version) on Mac or Windows; PDF format is not recommended. If you cannot prepare your presentation in 16:9, the 4:3 aspect ratio will also work. The computer and video switcher will scale the slides so they fit 100% vertically, with black bars on the left and right. The projection in the room and the webcast will be 16:9 widescreen, 1920 pixels x 1080 pixels.
Presentations can be tested on Mac and Windows computers in the speaker-ready room the day before the presentation. For Monday morning sessions, presentations should be uploaded to the meeting computers on Sunday between 4:00–6:00 p.m. and Monday morning before 8:00 a.m. For other days, upload and submit your oral presentation file to the computers in the speaker-ready room by 4:00 p.m. the day before the session. Oral in-person presenters will use the Mac and Windows computers provided at the meeting. Presenters will not be able to project from their own computers. Speaker-ready-room and file naming instructions are summarized here for download.
In-person oral presentations have been scheduled at the beginning of each session and broadcast live, followed by a block of virtual presentations and virtual Q&A.
